Frequently Asked Questions
Shipping, framing, returns and commissions — answered plainly.
How is artwork packed and posted?
Every painting is packed carefully and sent by insured courier within the UK. Postage and insurance is calculated automatically at checkout from the size of the piece. You can also choose to collect, with no postage charge. For delivery outside the UK, please enquire and I will quote for insured international shipping.
Are the paintings framed?
Yes — unless stated otherwise, originals are mounted and framed behind top-quality, museum-standard, non-reflective Tru Vue glass, ready to hang. Both the artwork size and the framed size are listed on every piece.
What is your returns policy?
I want you to love the painting on your wall. If you are not happy, contact me within 14 days of delivery and, once the piece is returned in its original condition and packaging, I will refund the price of the artwork. Commissioned work is excluded, though I will always work with you until you are happy before completion.
How does a commission work?
It starts with a conversation about subject, mood and size. Once we agree an approach I begin work in soft pastel, sharing progress along the way. A deposit secures your place in the diary and the balance is due on completion. See the Commissions page for the full picture.
How long does a commission take?
Typically four to eight weeks, depending on the size, the framing, and the exhibition calendar. You will get an honest estimate at the start.
Can I see how a painting would look in my home?
Yes — use the "See It On Your Wall" page. Upload a photo of your room, set the scale from something you know the size of, and hang any painting at its exact framed size. You can save the result and send it with an enquiry.
